We love our Friends! Homework for Maple Grove MOPS

Friday, February 10, 2012

Hello Maple Grove Evangelical Free MOPS Group!  I am really looking forward to spending some time with you guys next month. We are going to talk about relationships.  We cherish our friends and the time we spend with them because God made us for relationship with Him and with others.  Our friends have a huge impact on how we feel and see the world around us.  We are strengthened by healthy friendships and can be drained by unhealthy ones that creep into our lives.  So next month, we will focus on what it takes to be nourished our friends (which is especially important when we are busy caring for young children!)

To help you get the most of out of our time together, I'd like to ask you to watch a two minute video that has a couple of things for you to think about.  Watch video now.

If you have questions or specifics that you would like to cover, please send me an email and I will do my best to address it in March.  Send Kristen my question.

Until then, blessings to you!

Kristen

Back in Action

Friday, January 20, 2012

It has been a while!  I am so thankful to be back in action doing what I love most, and that is working with women through ministry and speaking.  In the last year or so, I took a sabbatical of sorts and was blessed with the opportunity to refocus and refuel to return to this work with restored passion and strength.  I have spent a lot of time with my family and experimented with working outside ministry.  I was also given the opportunity to experience melanoma which sharpened my understanding that each day that we are given is a gift.

I can't wait to share my new works with you and I will do that by inviting you to speaking events and workshops designed to move you closer to the women God created you to be.  Because I have a teen daughter, I have also been working with mother/daughter workshops designed to expose moms to some of the issues our girls are facing today and get moms and daughters talking to each other.  I LOVE LOVE that work and can't wait to tell you more about it!

This web site has been built to connect  women and ministry groups with resources.  I would like to ask you to help in this effort by sending me comments on the latest and greatest thing that you are learning or experiencing.  You can do this by sending me an email, using the Contact tab on the home page, or commenting on this blog.

My focus this year for my writing and speaking will be personal leadership.  What is that exactly? Well, for the most part, it involves doing the little things each day that create a foundation of strength and surety in our lives.  I always say that you would never start a major project at work without a plan and constant evaluation of progress.  Raising up our family is the most significant project we will have on this earth so   I believe that we need to have a plan for that huge undertaking that is shaped by our priorities.   More to come on this one!

I have really missed you guys and would love to get an email or comment from you on how you are doing and what you are up to so please, click right now on the comment below or email me at kristen@kristent.com.

So glad to be back!

Kristen
