Eternal Impact in the words of Jackie Kenney
Thursday, February 23, 2012
I don't believe that the challenges that women face have changed much over the years. I think that we have always struggled to balance family, work, and life. Every day, we make difficult choices on how to spend our time and money and have the opportunity to place the welfare of our family over our own.

We work toward contentment and remove the chains that bind us when the drive for happiness dominates our thoughts. We are blessed with the opportunity to engage in work that has eternal impact. Our job as a mom will shape our children and determine how they parent their children, how their children parent and so on. This impact will roll forward forever.
It's a tough one for sure, this mom job, but we are up for the challenge because of the importance of the outcome. As Jackie Kennedy said on August 14, 1963: " If you bungle raising your children, nothing else much matters in life."
So today, let's choose to have a spirit of gratitude as we are allowed to make the choices to prioritize family.
" The Lord your God will make you most prosperous in all the work of your hands and in the fruit of your womb". Deuteronomy 30:9

Hello Maple Grove Evangelical Free MOPS Group! I am really looking f
orward to spending some time with you guys next month. We are going to talk about relationships. We cherish our friends and the time we spend with them because God made us for relationship with Him and with others. Our friends have a huge impact on how we feel and see the world around us. We are strengthened by healthy friendships and can be drained by unhealthy ones that creep into our lives. So next month, we will focus on what it takes to be nourished our friends (which is especially important when we are busy caring for young children!)
To help you get the most of out of our time together, I'd like to ask you to watch a two minute video that has a couple of things for you to think about. Watch video now.
If you have questions or specifics that you would like to cover, please send me an email and I will do my best to address it in March. Send Kristen my question.
Until then, blessings to you!
