Start A Right at Home Community

The Right at Home concept works. Thousands of women and their families have experienced genuine new beginnings and renewed energy levels because of Right at Home. Women and their families, living in community with other families, find support, friendship, and encouragement to weather the transition. Right at Home provides a safe environment for lives to transform by focusing on physical, emotional, and spiritual health.

Our faith tells us that we are called to use our spiritual gifts and talents to serve in the community. Leading women to feel right at home and grow in their faith is an adventurous endeavor with eternal and priceless rewards. At the core of our organization is a group of women who provide the resources, coaching, leadership, and experience to make a difference in the lives of women in your community.

If you feel the inspiration to start a Right at Home group and transform lives in your community, contact us to request a Decision Package. In this initial interest phase, our mission, core values, and other essential program elements will be presented to create a clear picture of what is required to successfully launch Right at Home in your church.

If you decide that the Right at Home concept meets the needs of your community, we will work closely with you to determine how this program fits into your existing ministry structure and how it can uniquely serve the women in yourcommunity. Churches operate like corporations in today’s business world and will need a clear understanding of how Right at Home will bring value to your church and community. Before presenting the Right at Home concept to the host church, some questions we will consider are:

  • How does Right at Home help the host church accomplish its mission?
  • How can Right at Home supplement existing womens’ programs at the host church?
  • How can Right at Home enhance the host church’s outreach?
  • How can Right at Home help target the women who would serve as local leadership (small group leaders, exercise leaders, and other coordinators)?

A host church will also need a clear understanding of how Right at Home will financially impact its operating expenses. A host church will be responsible for paying the following fees:

    • Initial chartering fee for start up materials and detailed start guide (please contact us for details on costs)
    • An annual per person membership fee of $20/year (running September – September)
    • Annual charter renewal fee of $125

In addition to the charting and coaching fees, each group needs to plan for expenses associated with child care, curriculum, supplies for creative activities, and refreshments. Most groups cover these expenses through individual participant fees.

After you receive host church approval, you are ready to establish your Right at Home group. Included with your charter fee is a Right at Home Start Guide detailing how to launch your Right at Home program, contact information, promotional materials, and study materials.

It is our desire to equip your leadership group with the knowledge and tools to transform lives and lead women to feel right at home. Our staff will develop a personal relationship with every leader and guide them in executing your Right at Home group with excellence and coach them in their own lives. Our staff commits to:

  • Clarify the Right at Home mission and values
  • Coach you via phone and through email to approach your host church, enlist leadership, launch and grow your Right at Home group
  • Equip you with tools necessary to establish your ministry group
  • Provide you with opportunities to develop and grow your leadership team to reach their full potential
  • Provide ongoing coaching and support as you respond to God’s call to serve His moms

While each woman’s transition and family situation is unique, all mothers share the need for support and encouragement from other women facing similar challenges and issues. Our goal is to equip each woman for her most significant role…the perfectly designed mother of her children.

What makes Right at Home unique? We welcome all women - single or married, stay at home or working, urban or suburban, who are making the transition from the work environment to spending more time at home to raise their children. Our community of women share several common traits: an education, the desire to accomplish goals, and a passion for high standards. During this time, women also share common transitional issues: finding a new identity and fulfillment in staying home, establishing a new peer group, creating a new set of realistic expectations, and building a new life as a mom. Our bodies, minds, and souls need nourishment to respond and adapt to the changes created by transition. To achieve this, Right at Home focuses on Bible study and exercise, two key components that differentiating Right at Home from other moms’ groups.

Right at Home groups typically consist of 10-200 women, typically meet weekly in local churches for 2 ½ hours. The format includes exercise, large group Bible Study, and small group meetings. This format enables women to find balance between working and staying home and creates an empowering, new-found inner peace that helps them become better moms.

A weekly meeting is typically structured like this:

9:15 am                Sign-in children in child care room(s)

9:30 - 10:25 am    Excercise - Can include aerobics (step, low/hi impact), walking, or running.

10:25 - 10:30 am  Transition to large group Bible study/lesson

10:30 - 11:05 am   Large group Bible study/lesson, facilitated by either a leader from within the Right at Home group or by an extertnal subject matter expert.  to the group.

11:05 - 11:45 am   Small group discussion, facilitated by a leader from within the Right at Home group.

11:45 am                Pick up children from child care

EXERCISE

Each session starts with one hour of exercise, such as step aerobics, running, or brisk walking. The benefits of physical exercise are invaluable to psychological and physical health. Exercise stimulates the body’s release of endorphins, which are morphine-like chemicals that affect mood. The release of this natural chemical makes us feel better, alleviates stress, and improves problem solving skills. After exercise, women are empowered with the strength of a healthy and relaxed body and mind, and have a sense of peace and patience to face life’s challenges.

LARGE GROUP BIBLE STUDY

Following exercise, the group launches into a 40 minute large group Bible study. The size of the group may consist of 10 to 200 women and the topics of study focus on the unique issues and challenges relevant to today’s women. Study time stimulates intellectual health, provides inspiration, and promotes Christ-centered principles to be the Christian woman, wife, and mom we are called to be.

SMALL GROUP BIBLE STUDY

Right at Home weekly sessions close with 40 minutes of small group time. Small group time provides an intimate and comfortable environment for moms to share joys, challenges, questions, and concerns with other moms. Small groups, ranging in size from 5 to 10, encourage social and emotional well being. As women begin to open-up, share, and discuss, they realize they are not alone and meaningful relationships are formed with like-minded women.

Right at Home groups also help women find fullfilment and purpose through:
