Right at Home is a family ministry at University Baptist Church designed to help women in the Bay Area stay home with their children during the preschool years.
Our ministry is designed to help mothers who are leaving the workplace or modifying their work schedule to stay home with their children. Our goal is to help women replace the sense of "significance" they receive from their jobs with significance gained through their identity in Christ. Right at Home emphasizes the importance of being a Christian parent and helps women build a network of Christian mothers experiencing the same challenges in their lives. It also allows them to participate in outreach and support programs for stay-at-home, providing a place to channel their talents and energy to help others.
Right at Home brings mothers together on a regular basis, so they can develop relationships with other mothers while nurturing their relationship with Christ. Sessions are held during the spring and fall, each offering a different bible study and guest speakers. During each session, mothers meet on a weekly basis. Each meeting lasts 2 1/2 hours, and consists of one hour of exercise, one hour of bible study, and 30 minutes of small group time.
